Shooting the moon

A couple of days ago I attempted to photograph the blue moon.I was not able to generate a great picture of the moon, but I did a produce pretty cool photo. I think now the problem was the auto focus picking up the clouds and throwing the moon out of focus.

So a few days later, I am going through my RSS feed and I come across this “how to photograph the moon” tutorial (in honor of Neil Armstrong). The tutorial even offers the settings – F11, ISO 100, etc. You do need to shoot on manual. A tripod is not necessary.
