The end of the year brings all kinds of lists and predictions. McAfee has a list of threats for 2011 – Apple will be a target, URL shorteners, mobile devices. The services that shorten URLs seem obvious – a link that is a mystery.

Leo Laporte, host and founder of the TWIT network, was featured in the NY Times. A nice read for tech friends and followers.

If you are a camera guy (person), you will find Lens Hero a great site. I also appreciate the efforts of those who work to put together powerful web sites and this is a good example.

Lens hero helps photographers find that next lens. Those who are serious about their hobby soon learn that the real investment is in good glass. You select your camera body, the price range you can cover, and the type of lens and then  you are off to look at some alternatives.

The rumors are they are pulling the plug on social bookmarking site Delicious. Time to try something else as a hedge.

Perhaps the thing that concerns me the most about this change is that Delicious seems to be available from many iPad reader apps I use (e.g., NewsRack) and Diigo is not.
