{"id":1245,"date":"2011-02-23T00:16:17","date_gmt":"2011-02-23T00:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.learningaloud.com\/blurts\/?p=1245"},"modified":"2011-02-23T04:57:22","modified_gmt":"2011-02-23T04:57:22","slug":"too-much-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.learningaloud.com\/blurts\/2011\/02\/23\/too-much-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Too much work?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think these are old data that the NY Times has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/02\/21\/technology\/internet\/21blog.html\">now decided to report<\/a>, but it appears teen interest in blogging is fading.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a title=\"More articles about Pew Research Center\" href=\"http:\/\/topics.nytimes.com\/top\/reference\/timestopics\/organizations\/p\/pew_research_center\/index.html?inline=nyt-org\">Pew Research Center<\/a> found that from 2006 to 2009, blogging among children ages 12 to 17  fell by half; now 14 percent of children those ages who use the Internet  have blogs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><a title=\"Her Tumblr feed.\" href=\"http:\/\/kimhoulikes.tumblr.com\/\">Kim Hou<\/a>,  a high school senior in San Francisco, said she quit blogging months  ago, but acknowledged that she continued to post fashion photos on  Tumblr. \u201cIt\u2019s different from blogging because it\u2019s easier to use,\u201d she  said. \u201cWith blogging you have to write, and this is just images. Some  people write some phrases or some quotes, but that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hey, but there is good news. Old guys like me continue to blog.
