Gmail privacy

Concerns that Google scans your email are surfacing again. I know this sensitivity has been raised again because of the recent revelations regarding the NSA, but how many times do people have to be reminded. Of course Google scans your email, this is how the accompanying ads are selected. Google makes money from the ads and this mean you are not paying coins for a useful service. You are paying with your willingness to view ads. I suppose Google could give you random ads, but wouldn’t that be annoying and they would either be more annoying to get your attention or that no one would click. How many times does this explanation need to be provided?

The argument that Gmail users did not agree to the terms of service is ridiculous.

You can pay for an email service that avoids some of these concerns.
